Not only do Almonds help in brain development in children, but they’re also equally beneficial for adults. Since ancient times almonds have been used for bright skin and healthy hair. In fact, Queen Cleopatra was known to have incorporated almonds into her diet.

In this post, we are going to tell you about the plethora of health benefits of almonds, how are almonds good for your skin and hair, and why this crunchy nut should be your go-to snack!

Let’s get started!

Almonds, for a healthy you!

There are plenty of health benefits of almonds. Their nutritional value is incomparable, not only do they taste good, but they also help in the upkeep of your skin and hair. Who knew munching on California Almonds could do so much for you?

50 percent of your daily necessary vitamin E requirements are met by one serving of an ounce of almonds (roughly 20-25 almonds). Many other nutrients like protein, magnesium, fiber, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, potassium, zinc, and calcium are abundant in almonds.

Additionally, they help nourish skin and hair while enhancing the generation of antibodies that fight against health conditions including diabetes, obesity, cancer, hair loss, heart disease, and high cholesterol.

Almonds are rich in vitamin B too which enhances memory by creating and multiplying new brain cells while nourishing existing ones.

Almonds for Skin Care

Almonds are a good source of antioxidants that keep your skin soft and mushy. Vitamin E present in almonds helps shield skin cells from the harmful effects of pollution, UV rays, smoke from cigarettes, and other environmental factors.

An ounce of almonds contains 8% zinc which is a mineral that is a healthy skin’s best friend. They are also an abundant source of copper which helps with skin pigmentation. Not only that but almonds also contain Vitamin B which is essential for the maintenance of normal skin.

Regularly eating almonds will not only offer you clear, acne and pimple-free skin, but will also keep your skin supple and work as an anti-aging beauty secret!

Almond oil, on the other hand, will rejuvenate your entire body if used for a massage by improving your blood flow and providing your skin with the nourishment and moisturization it needs.

Almond oil can also be used as a natural makeup remover. It reduces inflammation and rashes. Almond milk can be another fantastic alternative to chemical makeup removers. So, go grab some almond milk right before you go to bed - according to your need, you can drink it or apply it to your face!

Almonds for Eyes

Almonds are abundant in minerals and omega-fatty acids which can enhance your vision and eyesight. They can also act as a remedy for puffy eyes, dark circles as well as wrinkles around the eyes.

Massaging your eyelids with almond oil can help relieve you from the stress that your eyes face while sitting in front of a screen. Not only that but the oil if applied to your lashes also helps them grow thick and long.

It is very easy to make an almond face mask. You can make it yourself at home, all you need to do is follow some very simple steps.

First of all, you will need a few key ingredients. Take a tablespoon of almond oil and another tablespoon of honey. You will need half of mashed avocado. You can also opt to add 2-3 drops of lavender or rose oil for smell.

Take all the ingredients and mix them together to form a paste. Apply the mix to all areas of your skin and leave it on for about 20-25 minutes. After that, rinse with water, preferably warm, and pat your skin dry.

There! You now have smooth and soft skin!

Almonds for Hair Health

Your hair loves almonds too! Regular hair massage with almond oil will guarantee the quick growth of your hair while keeping it silky, shiny, and frizz-free.

Almonds are abundant in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, which help to stimulate the healthy blood flow needed for hair growth. In turn, this contributes to thick, lustrous, touchably soft, and shiny hair. Almond oil is also said to postpone hair aging and grey hair.

Almond oil hydrates and moisturizes the scalp to lessen flakiness, nourishes and softens the hair strands, and shields them from the harm that hairstyle products can do. Regular consumption of almonds increases the amount of vitamins A, D, B1, B2, and B6 in your body, as well as polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fatty acids, which are essential for healthy hair growth.

Almonds contain magnesium which gives the hair follicles enough nutrition, strengthening the hair strands and preventing hair loss. On top of that, almond oil prevents dandruff and inflammation too.
